About Klaipėda Traffic

Klaipėda Traffic is a non-official, community-driven project focused on visualising real-time AIS vessel movements in and around the Port of Klaipėda.

Our goal is simple: provide an open, modern, fast, and transparent way to explore ship traffic in our region.

AIS signals are received locally from Klaipėda, decoded and enriched with static AIS data, then published to the site as GeoJSON every few seconds.

• Trails, headings, and vessel status rendered in the browser

We love the sea, technology, and the port community. Klaipėda Traffic exists to:

• promote maritime awareness,
• make AIS easier to understand,
• offer a lightweight alternative to large commercial sites,
• support hobbyists, sailors, spotters, and port fans.

This is a non-commercial, hobby-based initiative.

We are not affiliated with the Port of Klaipėda, the Lithuanian Navy, VTS, or any government institution.
